The International LIDAR \;Mapping Forum (ILMF) took place in Denver CO from March 3-5 2010. The event drew more than 500 attendees and 60 exhibiting companies.The program placed both an emphasis on research and innovations.

This initiative\, launched last year\, supports European postdoctoral scientists for two years to undertake innovative research projects that address specific scientific challenges outlined in ESA&rsquo\;s science strategy for Earth observation (EO). Up to 10 postdoctoral scientists from Member States will be selected. The deadline for the proposal submission is 29 March 2010.
